Clover

Clover

Clovers are categorized as many different species which all offer different traits, grow in different environments and have different degrees of maturity. Clovers are either true annual types that require the setting of seed every year to remain part of the pasture sward, or true perennial types that grow from stolons to maintain persistence. Clovers are a valuable part of any pasture system as they provide fixed nitrogen to the pasture sward which is needed to drive growth of grass species. Clovers also are an excellent source of protein for the grazing animal to drive higher liveweight gains and milk production.
